Examinations

The British Tamil Language Examination Board’s examinations will help to assess the Tamil language proficiencies of students who are learning Tamil as a second language at different grade levels.


The examinations are prepared and conducted following UK and international examination standards and procedures. Students will receive certifications in an awards ceremony following completion of the examinations.

The British Tamil Language Examination Board’s Tamil language examination for 2025 will be conducted on 28th June 2025 at the following exam centers listed in the table below.

 

The examination will focus on assessing students learning Tamil as a second language from nursery to grade 8 under four skills accordingly: Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening.
